Andy Holmes Clinical Hypnotist rules
I've been smoking since I was fifteen. The thought of quitting never crossed my mind until 2007. I'd developed a really serious and persistant cough.I took the usual medication, cough syrup, etc. When I could'nt take anymore I made a GP's appointment. I took the prescribed medication and went bach to work a few days later. My cough refused to go away, so I was sent for an x-ray. When the results came back my specialist informed me that there was a piece of tissue growing in there. To make a long story short, I went for a biopsy and fortunately It was not malignant. But that was the biggest scare of my life. I had two kids that needed me, so I went through the usual route to give up smoking. Patches, gum etc. I'd start the course and follow it for a while but after a matter of days after completing the course, i'd be smoking again. I'd heard about hypnotherapy as an alternative form of treatment, but I never expected to try it. Besides , I was a sceptic. I simply knew that I could not be hypnotised! I made an appointment with a local hypnotist, attended the session and remember hearing his droning voice throughout. After leaving his office , I lit a cigarette and knew for certain that I was still addicted. He called me a week later to find out how I was doing and I told him I felt that hypnotism was bogus. I was now a sceptic. I still wanted to quit smoking, though. About two months later I was dignosed with fluid in my lungs and was hospitalised. My sister in law told me about a friend of hers who'd given up smoking with help of a hypnotherapist. I told her that I was a sceptic. Apparently this hypnotherapist did a combination of Hypnosis and NLP. I was getting quite desperate by this time and this made me smoke even more! I decided to give this one a try. Andy Holmes was the practitioner at www.clinicalhypnotist.co.uk who took my call. He was very professional and spent some time getting to know me and my problem before doing anything. I remember hearing his calm, steady and reassuring voice throughout the session. I was aware of everything and my body was totally relaxed. It actually took another session to make my subconscious understand that I did not wish to smoke, but it worked in the end. I have been smoke free for three months now. Andy Holmes takes the mumbo jumbo out of hyonotherapy and makes you understand how and why it's done. All I care about is that I 'm not smoking anymore.
